Ausdance Victoria presents Open Studios – New Works and Tour Ready – Meet & Greet as part of Dance Massive 2017. 

Applications for both programs are now closed. All applicants have been notified of the assessment results.

A national industry panel was assembled and convened by Ausdance Vic to assess applications.

The panel assembled are: Claire Hicks (NSW), David McMicken AM (NT), Emma Porteus (TAS), Jerry Remkes (Vic), Paul Selwyn Norton (WA), Rebecca Youdell (Qld), and Tanya Voges (SA), chaired by Kiri Morcombe for Ausdance NSW.

We would like to thank the esteemed judging panel for dedicating their time and expertise to assess the applications.


Open Studios – New Works


To provide independent dance artists and choreographers the opportunity to introduce their practice and show new contemporary dance works-in-progress in an informal context to industry peers, interstate and international presenters, with the potential to begin discussions around future presentations.

To provide small-to-medium dance companies and established choreographers the opportunity to talk about their tour-ready work/s to national and international presenters, with the potential to begin discussions around future touring prospects.
