Ausdance Victoria was founded in 1977 and is the sole peak body for dance in Victoria and plays a key role in providing high-level strategic advice and visions for the sector. Ausdance Victoria supports individuals, companies and organisations in a coherent ecology of arts services. It enables members and partners to flourish, creating ecology of arts services. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, passionate member to support the Australian Youth Dance Festival 2019 (AYDF2019) - International.

POSITION: PROJECT COORDINATOR - AYDF2019
Employment type: Casual; Paid
Location: Ausdance Vic office
Reports to: Project Manager, AYDF2019

Role and responsibilities

Administration

  • Work closely with the Project Manager of AYDF2019 to coordinate with Australian and international youth dance companies, local venue providers, sponsors and other stakeholders of the Festival

  • Assist with Festival registrations, including but not limited to record and maintain statistical data on participants, preparing information packs, and responding to interstate and international queries

  • Organise catering for the Festival – daily lunches, Opening and Closing ceremonies, and VIP networking event

  • Assist with the coordination of volunteers during the Festival

  • Assist with the installation and bump out of the Festival and International Showcase

  • Other AYDF2019 administration as required

Marketing and Communications

  • Work closely with the Marketing Officer and General Manager to promote AYDF2019 program and International Showcase

  • Assist in compiling content for the Festival’s printed program

  • Assist in responses to general AYDF2019 enquiries and telephone calls in a professional and friendly manner
