FREE DANCE RESOURCE - LEARNING THROUGH DANCE: A GUIDE FOR TEACHERS

Johanna Exiner, Phyllis Lloyd, 1987

Learning through Dance is an invaluable guide for teachers seeking to integrate creative dance into the teaching program in areas such as art, music, language, maths and science. Strategies for implementing and evaluating lessons are clearly outlined and lesson plans are easy to follow:

  • the area to be explored is stated at the beginning of each lesson

  • margin notes link musical accompaniment with dance sequences

  • movements are clearly described

  • sections headed 'simplified version' and 'development' allow the teacher to adapt lessons to suit different levels.

Resources (books only) are available for FREE. You can collect them from our office in Yarraville, or we can mail them to you (postage at your expense). Contact us to arrange pick-up or postage.
